Pro Tips for Smooth Processing
Your mobile SIM must be registered on your own CNIC. A SIM on someone else's CNIC will fail PMD verification.
Without PLRA land record, your loan cannot be verified. Check your Fard from any PLRA Arazi Record Centre first.
Scan or photograph your CNIC and land documents clearly. Blurry uploads cause registration delays.
Only 500,000 slots on first come, first serve basis. Complete your registration as soon as the portal opens.
The Kissan Card can only be used at scheme-registered vendor outlets for fertilizers and seeds — no cash withdrawal.
Return unused funds or repay the loan within 6 months + 1 month grace period to remain eligible next season.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the CM Punjab Kissan Card scheme
The CM Punjab Kissan Card is a government-issued card launched by the Punjab Agriculture Department in collaboration with PITB. It provides interest-free loans to eligible farmers to help them purchase agricultural inputs — such as fertilizers and seeds — through authorized vendors, covering the full period from sowing to harvesting.
To qualify for the Kissan Card you must meet all of the following conditions:
- You are a farmer who owns agricultural land
- Your land holding is between 1 and 12.5 Acres
- Your land record is available in PLRA (Punjab Land Records Authority)
- You have a mobile SIM registered on your own CNIC (PMD Verified)
- Your CNIC is valid and NADRA verified
- You have no loan default (eECIB clear)
The loan amount is calculated based on Rs. 30,000 per Acre of your land, with a maximum cap of Rs. 1,50,000 per season.
- 1 Acre → Rs. 30,000
- 3 Acres → Rs. 90,000
- 5 Acres → Rs. 1,50,000 (maximum)
- Above 5 Acres → Still capped at Rs. 1,50,000
No. The Kissan Card cannot be used for cash withdrawals. The loan amount can only be spent on agricultural inputs such as fertilizers and seeds, and only through scheme-authorized vendor outlets.
Every transaction is tracked digitally and you will receive a free SMS notification on your CNIC-registered mobile number for each purchase. Misuse of the card can result in disqualification from the scheme.
Registration is carried out completely online through the official PITB portal. Once you register, your details are digitally verified through an interface between the PITB farmers database and PLRA land records — followed by verification from NADRA, PMD, and eECIB.
After successful verification, the Bank of Punjab issues your Kissan Card.
